How to Put on the POSTURE

Adjust the two shoulder straps to a wide setting by opening the Velcro fasteners so you can put on the POSTURE as easily as a jacket. Secure the Velcro fasteners again before putting on the POSTURE to prevent the straps from slipping through the buckle on the back.

Poor posture combined with limited mobility is very often the root cause of neck, shoulder, and back pain. Our posture belt serves as a reminder to maintain an upright posture. If the shoulders slump forward, the gentle tension exerted by the back belt reminds the body to actively adopt an upright posture. This posture-correcting function is based on biofeedback, which helps guide the body into a natural position.

  1. Adjust the two shoulder straps to a wide setting by opening the Velcro fasteners so you can put on the POSTURE as easily as a jacket. Secure the Velcro fasteners again before putting on the POSTURE to prevent the straps from slipping through the buckle on the back.
  2. Once the POSTURE fits comfortably around both shoulders, you can use the Velcro fasteners to adjust the tension so that it gently reminds you to maintain an upright posture.
  3. You’ll notice there’s no size chart on the POSTURE—this is intentional. Adjust the POSTURE yourself so that it feels right for you. It should never feel uncomfortable. When you’re standing upright, you should barely feel the POSTURE. If your shoulders slump forward, you should feel a gentle tug. This is meant to remind you to pull your shoulders back.

There are a few things you should keep in mind when wearing the posture belt to ensure you achieve the desired effect:

  • Adjust the POSTURE correctly: It should feel comfortable when you maintain good posture, but snug when you let your shoulders slump forward. Good posture means your shoulders are in a straight vertical line with your ankles, hips, and earlobes.
  • Under no circumstances should the POSTURE be worn too tightly. You should always be able to fit two fingers under the shoulder straps.
  • The POSTURE should be worn for a maximum of 3 hours at a time.

No. Many posture belts from other manufacturers are completely rigid and force the user into a specific position. While this may feel good for a moment, it weakens the muscles in the long run. The POSTURE works very differently. Unlike many other posture belts, our POSTURE incorporates flexible and firm elements designed to remind our subconscious to align our upper body neutrally. This strengthens the muscles rather than relieving them.

We recommend that you start by wearing the POSTURE for a shorter period of time—about an hour. You can increase the frequency and duration over time as your muscles become stronger and your posture improves—becoming more upright and healthy even without the POSTURE. Once your body has achieved good posture even without the posture belt, you can reduce how often you wear it. Even after taking off the posture belt, be sure to maintain a healthy and upright posture. The POSTURE should be worn for no more than 3 hours at a time.

If you have severe back or neck pain or injuries, consult a doctor or therapist before wearing the POSTURE posture belt. The POSTURE is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Machine washable at 40°C (gentle cycle) with similar colors. We recommend using a laundry bag.

Try wearing the POSTURE over a thin top rather than directly against your skin. Also check the adjustment—you may have tightened the POSTURE too much. Try wearing it for shorter periods of time as well. Don’t let the POSTURE force you into an upright posture. It’s simply meant to remind you to maintain an upright posture and thereby strengthen your muscles.
